Our harvest ale, brewed with over 100 pounds of locally grown, heirloom varietal Cinderella pumpkins. The pumpkins are roasted, then pureed and added to the mash for sugar and color contribution. We add pumpkin pie spices during the last part of boil in the kettle. Very light, pumpkin pie-like flavor can be found in this orange hued brew.

4 oz cask pour at Mad Fox, freshly tapped right after I ordered it! Clear light golden brown with off-white head. Aromas of spices and pumpkin. Tastes of big pumpkins, spices, light herbs, cinnamon and nutmeg. Medium body with a dry finish. Medium carbonation. Might be the best batch they’ve brewed of this, pumpkin flavors were very nice.

Poured right from the fermenter on tour at the brewpub. Pours a hazy orange with some frothy white head. Big, spicy nose, nutmeg, ginger, clove, root veg. Flavor has a big zip from the ginger, almost a wasabi like zing to it, after that fades you get the sweetness, carrot, banana bread, some yeast. Medium bodied, zippy finish.

On tap at the brewpub. Poured a dark copper color, orange notes, small white head. Spices are noticeable, pumpkin is there - but subtle. Flavor was incredibly spicy, notes of nutmeg, clove, ginger, a lot more "pumpkin pie" then pumpkin. There was a lot going on with this particular pumpkin beer - and that’s a good thing.

Grower from the brewery, filled 10/20/10 and opened 10/21/10. Pours a clear orange color with a thin frothy offwhite head. Fair poor head retention and lacing. Aroma of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove. The taste is pumpkin and spices with a toasty finish. Thin bodied. The flavor is good but rather weak.
