7/VII/18 - 37.5cl bottle @ JefVerstraete's place - BB: no marking on the side of the label to indicate the year, but the years mentioned were 87-90. Ok then! (2018-823) Thanks to JefVerstraete for sharing the bottle!

Clear pale copper brown beer, small aery irregular off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: sweet, fruity, raspberry jam, lots of cardboard, very oxidized. MF: no carbon, medium to light body. Taste: soft acidity, fruity touch, blackcurrant jam and raspberry jam, little sweet, super oxidized. Aftertaste: cardboard, soft acidity, jam, very oxidized.

Sweetened ’cassis’ (blackcurrant lambic as invented by Lindemans) with somewhat purplish head, very sweet, red berry jam, artificial, fortunately not too cloying, but lambic character very subdued. Too sugary and one-sided for me to enjoy, as usual in this style.

Rating added 1/27/2006Very acid in smell and taste, but just right, not too much. Copper in color. The type of lambic I would recommend to wine and cider drinkers that think they don’t like beer. Tried it from a bottle at "Pannrummet Kök & Bar" on January 27.7/4/7/4/12=3.4

(Bottle 25 cl) Beautiful deep red colour with a small head. Soft fruity flavours of the black currant, less sharp and less tart than most cassis lambics. This somehow reminds me of a well matured Rioja. Quite interesting. 040200

Hazy reddish color, medium off-white head. Aroma of tart blackberries, bit artificial. Bit sour, but mostly sweet and fruity. Sticky palate.

Bottled. Dark amber, hazy. Interesting black currant sorbet aroma. Very sweet and one-dimensional. Perhaps a vague hint of acidity.

A ruby red beer with a beutiful lasting pink head. The aroma is sweet fruity with strong notes of cherries. The flavor is slightly sour, but also sweet, with strong cherry notes, and it has a woody finish. A great flavor and the best cassis I've ever had, since it is not too sweet and has a fuller flavor.

Dry, lambic body, with a fruity, pungent, dry finish. Not only the best Timmermans, but also the best cassis.
