Pours a slightly hazy light amber from a can. Tart light fruit aroma, nice tart fruity but nondescript flavor. Good beer.

5 oz sample at the source. Aroma is soured wheat, light yogurt, some light lemon juice. The flavor is light sour lemon and Lactobacillus. A nice classic version. Finish is really nice subtle tartness with a hint of salt.

Bottle @ home, thanks to Lukaduke (I believe). Thanks Luke (maybe). Pours a very light yellow appearance with a white head. At first it smells pretty good with some lemon and lactic acid but then there’s a hint of nail polish / chemicals. It’s hard to get past that after it’s noticed. Moderately tart. Lots of lemon, guava, and yogurt. A little twangy note of chemicals in the mouth as well. Not super clean. Still somewhat drinkable but just not one of the better renditions of the style. I wouldn’t purchase this again.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow with frothy off white head that lasts. The aroma is wheat, lemon zest, dough. Thin mouth, tart lemon, very crisp, clean, really enjoyed this.

Sample at the 2014 Infected Chimipalooza on 11/01/2014. Cloudy straw color with a thin white head that dissipates steadily to a film. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of tart berries and yeast. Light-bodied with a moderately tart fruit character and notes of herbal yeast and malt. The finish is lightly sour with a wheaty and fruity aftertaste. Decent overall.

Pours pale gold into a shaker. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Sweet marshmallow and lactic aromas. Sharp and light bodied with lemon citrus upfront turning to marshmallow in the lasting finish.

21.06.2013, tap @ Stoddard’s Fine Food & Ale:
Almost no head. Aroma is slightly sour cheesy, barnyard, cheddar cheese, hay, yeast, green berries. Taste is slightly acidic, sorrel, hay, grass, sour green apples, unripe gooseberries, light malts, cereal, cheese, citrus peel. Fair enough, kind of strange, still interesting.

Or should this be called Haverhill Intergalacic Acid, since it was not at The Tap? Anyway, it is a murky, opaque pale yellow beer with no head. Aroma is sour lemon drops. Taste is similar. Plain and very sour. The name is accurate.
