Wolaver's Pumpkin Ale

Amber body with too much in the way of head. Aroma is of pumpkin spices, namely cinnoman. Taste is a little bit sweet, and obviously very spicy. Easy drinking through and through. Pumpkin and spice flavors are most prominent towards the finish.

Bottle labelled as "Pumpkin Ale." Pours amber brown. Off white head. Nose/taste of pumpkin, fake all spice and nutmeg. Some metallic notes lingering in background. Light with a thin watery body.

Pumpkin and cinnamon, nose, not strong. Hazy amber thin head. Not strong at all, but the flavor is dominated by pumpkin. Bubble gum is detectable when quaffed. Faint hints of nutmeg in the finish. Nothing objectionable, but rather weak.

Part of Oktoberfest/pumpkin party. Pours a dark brownish orange with practically no head. didn’t get a ton on the nose. taste was plenty pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla. Not too sweet, nice seasonal brew and easily drinkable.

12oz bottle pours clear copper with lasting modest off white head. The aroma is just loads of pumpkin winter spices and then hints of pumpkin and lemon like acidity. Wow. The taste begins with an all too brief pulse of pumpkin that gets swallowed up by wintery spices, cinnamon, pepper and cinnamon covered graham cracker cookies. This is a very spicy brew covering up what little pumpkin there might actually be in it.

Aroma: The aroma is pumpkin, spice, and quite a bit of pepper with some vegetation, and some light hops as well
Appearance: It pours a mostly clear orange color with a thin off-white head and quite a bit of lace on the glass
Flavor: The taste is a little nicer then the aroma, it has a light pumpkin flavor, but less vegetable and more sweet then the nose with the bitterness not really coming though until the finish
Palate: This beer has an interesting mouthfeel, there's a ting from the pepper, and some carbonation
Overall Impression: I wonder if this would have been different fresher. Either way, it's pretty good, and I really did enjoy it quite a bit. My biggest complaint would be that it is a drop too much on the vegetable side, particularly in the nose, but it still works.

Very bright orange. Very spicy, pumpkiny nose - big, brash and appetizing. On the palate it falls apart a bit, though. The body is thin. There’s huge nutmeg and other spicy but not nearly the malt character to hold it all together.

12oz bottle. Big pumpkin pie aroma. Medium to dark color for a Pumpkin Ale, nice and murky. The taste is full and spicy, but somewhat different a lot of beers it’s style. The spicing is well done and very balanced, earthy nuances and hops coming through. Harshly underrated thus far at 3.15, this one is recommended for those inclined to enjoy the style. Excellent.

Pours deep amber into a shaker. Off-white head with medium retention leaves no lacing. Pumpkin, nutmeg and cinnamon aromas. Crisp and dry with upfront sour pumpkin and a lasting sour spice finish. Aside from the sourness of this beer, it has many good qualitiesl.
