Strange Tide is a Double IPA featuring Nelson, Rakau, Citra, and Simcoe hops. It bursts with aromas of lime hard candies, crushed white grapes, mandarin oranges, and piney mango.
As New Englanders, the sea is close to our hearts; building a location that fits into the landscape of Cape Cod has been a dream of ours from the very beginning. The ocean can impart a deep sense of peace while sending us down an existential rabbit hole. How strange to feel timeless and know you are finite.
To channel these feelings, we turned to Derek Macara, a Cape Cod native and former fisherman-turned-painter whose work has earned worldwide praise for capturing the many moods of the sea. In his hypnotic Instagram videos, a blank canvas becomes a wash of color, then crystallizes into a shoreline you swear you've stood on.
A painting is a strange thing too. Dried pigment on canvas, fixed forever, and somehow the life in it keeps moving in perpetuity. Standing in front of Derek's work, we felt the same peace and slight sense of unease the ocean gives us.

Can (7/30/26) shared by Chalumeaux--thanks, TJ! Opaque, light yellow, ring of head, light lacing. Aroma is strong, balanced citrus, cooking herb (fades as it sits), white grape. Taste is strong white grape over milder dank herb/pine and citrus. Smooth, frothy texture, drinks lighter than ABV, yeasty, lightly bitter finish. I like the aroma more than the taste. No alcohol.

16 oz can shared by Chalumeaux. Aroma is mango, white grape, orange marmalade. Flavor follows with a soft pine in the finish. Well balanced. Lightly juicy and no bitterness. Nice.
