Texture is our hoppy Pilsner. Brewed with our house lager strain and conditioned for several weeks in stainless alongside our hand-selected, fruit-forward American hops, Texture carries notes of tangerine peel, wild strawberries, passion fruit, and creamy coconut, all within an exceptionally smooth texture. Faneuil draught, 8/13/26.
Rich pineapple with an afterthought of coconut. Maybe a dash of pine. Smells lightly bready, as well. Lots more fresh coconut flesh character, floral/acidic, as it warms/breathes. Pretty ambitious to combine just these hops without something softer/juicier.
But there's ample malt and the expert rendering of the hop leaves little/no acidity, no twangy pineapple, yet a fresh, rich coconut character and just enough bitterness to balance the rich, honey-like malts. Just a touch on the burly/very malty side, but I think it was better to err so with these hops.
