A veiled golden appearance with banana aromas followed by coconut tastes finishing with a bitterness to round out your sip leaving you wanting to take another.

On tap at Sam Adam’s Downtown Boston, pours a clear dull golden with a small white head. Aroma is fairly estery, with bubblegumy banana notes, essence of coconut, and alcohol. Flavour is bizarre, with some clashing, artificial notes that are supposed to resemble coconut and banana, but don’t really. No malt base. Just alcohol and artificial flavours. Quite shit.

Taproom draught, 8/1/26.
Coconut at first is toasty and rich, but tasteful. Banana seems very artificial/extract-like, though. Sweet, bready malts in support and no way to figure out the yeast due to the adjunct masking.
Toasted coconut gives some dryness yet richness. Deep, honey-and-biscuit malt with a cream of wheat character as the banana joins it. Rich to start but drying heavily, as it should. Satisfying and the banana fares better in flavor, I think. Still gimmicky but better than expected.
