Belgian beer with deep amber colour. Re-fermentation in the bottle. Hoppy nose and taste. Creamy foam. Aangename citrusaroma's. Fruity and very refreshing with aromas of citrus (red grapefruit). A complex, tasteful bitterness coming from two kinds of hops: East Kent Golding and especially Cascade (also dry-hopping with Cascade).

Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Lightly hazy orange color, medium sized off - white to beige head. Aroma is quite nicely hoppy, especially for a Belgian brew. Taste is fruity, candy, lightly hoppy and quite floral. Average to medium body and carbonation. Not bad at all.

Bottle @ benzai. Slightly hazy orange colour with a medium sized white head. Smells slightly.hoppy, fresh, fruity. Not bad! Tastes hoppy, fruity, fresh.. I just can’t complain about this one. It’s a decent brew. Didn’t suspect it. Better than 80% of the Belgian beers. Medium body, nice carbo. --- Beer merged from original tick of Hopschepper on 21 Oct 2019 at 20:31 - Score: 4. Original review text: De gebruikte gist past niet bij een ipa. Gistig, deeg, medicinaal bitter en een vleugje ijzer.

(bottle, 33cl) Cloudy, golden colour with a medium-sized off-white foamy head. Yeasty, mildly cara-malty aroma with notes of herbal, woody and citric, grapefruity hops. Slightly sweet and delicately bitter flavour, medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Quite balanced cara-malty base with mainly fruity and mildly woody hops, including loads of grapefruit and yeasty spice; moderately dry and bitter finish with a present fruity and woody hops profile. More-ish. 06.X.13

33 cl. bottle @ home. Procured from Willems. BBF 02/2015 (uhm yeah, it will be drinkable by then still but is that really the age you want to give to a hoppy beer?). Pretty hazy, creamy slightly off-white head. Nose is, wow this is actually hoppy, awesome, wasn’t expecting that since this is Belgian, I am getting Cascade, hoppy, light grapefruit, pretty fruity, touch pine, citrus peel, hint BE yeast. Taste is hoppy with a big BE yeast profile, caramel, light pine, hint grapefruit peel, touch citrus peel, hint candy sugar. Bit big BE yeast profile. Man, this was a pleasant profile, Belgian breweries please make more beer like that. Maybe I am just psyched because I am still getting this at what is presumably still a young age.

Taste: citrus, little malty, caramel, fruity, pretty bitter with some floral notes. Aftertaste: citrus, bit sourish, very bitter and piny, some exotic fruits, pineapple, bit sweet, grassy sour ending, bitter yeast as well.
