Pale orange, fruity hoppy and strong. A bold, unapologetically hoppy northwest-style IPA. Brewed with Pale, Munich and Crystal malts with a portion of sugar. Bittered and finished with Chinook, Centennial and whole flower Cascade hops all over the place.

Draught from stag’s head. Poured an orangey red, floral piney hops on the aroma and a similar taste with some mild malts in the end. Pretty decent stuff overall.

Draft pour at the brewery. Plastic cup in pure celebration of Mariners opening day. Pours a copper color with a bubbly head. Mild wet hoppy aroma. Flavor has a nice up front hop character. Bitter finish, but not overly intense. Overall a really standard, non unique ipa. Not bad though.

Sampled on draft at the House of 1000 beers this beer poured an orange-amber color with a large creamy orange-white head that lingered and left great lacing. The aroma was rich pine, fruity hops, floral hops, perfume, pepper and a light yeasty element. The flavor was sweet and very tangy with strong notes of pine, pineapple, pepper, lemon, herbal hops and caramel. Long finish of pine, pineapple and herbal hops. Full bodied. Excellent.

Rich, chewy caramel and copper coloured body with a bright orange tint and a nice, two centimetre tall tan head - this is what an IPA should look like. Aroma of pungent citrus and resinous hops with a lot of alcohol and depth noticeable. Medium-bodied; Nice, assertive hops up front that fade relatively quickly and show some sweetness, some citrus and a bunch of herbal notes. Aftertaste is relatively mild with hops noticeable, but not bittering, some alcohol on the finish, a touch of dryness and a great malt backbone. Overall, a nice pungent IPA with a great balance of malt and a nice complex flavour that shows much more than just hop overload. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from New Beer Distributors in New York, New York on 02-July-2012 for US$7.00 sampled at home in Washington on 18-November-2012.

Bomber from Belmont Station. Pours hazy light amber with a slight white head. Aroma is pine and near sugar bomb. With quite a bit of floral and citrus. Med plus body. Flavor is resin, citrus and floral. Hints of brown sugar. Damn but it’s hoppy. Damn but it’s bitter. Finishes towards barleywine, but the hops is enough to cut that. Finishes extremely tasty.

Bottle from Central City Liquor Store, Surrey
Golden to light amber color, with medium sized compact head. The aroma is quite powerful, fresh and fruity, with hints of caramel and toffee too. It has a very good malt and toffee flavor, dynamic, not chewy at all, with a fresh hopping, providing delicate fruits (apricot and sweet oranges), mild resins (spruce), light spices (black pepper, very light coriander).
Another good hit from Elysian in the IPA domain, notable for its freshness.

Bottle @ home. I’ve had such good experiences with Elysian, I’m surprised I haven’t rated more by them. Lets go! Very hazy, reddish orange appearance with a fluffy, tan head that has great lacing. Huge mango, passion fruit, tropical fruity, spicy yeasty, orange citrusy, creamy, awesome aroma. Somewhat floral, orange citrusy, grapefruity, mango, pineapple, big tropical fruity flavor. Just my kind of ipa and fresh! Really delicious stuff! Fuck yeah!
