Bottle. I thought it was fairly light and refreshing, and I am surprised to see it is so high in alcohol. Lightly sweet with yeast and sugar. A little spice on the palate, though I don’t know if there are actually any spices. Good.

I bought this hoping it was some kind of sessionable Belgian single - I hate when brewers don’t list abv on their bottles - it says "summer seasonal perfect for a hot summer’s day" - was it not unreasonable for me to assume it was a light, low abv beer? - anyway, I’m over that now - mostly because this is a fairly decent (albeit slightly overly spicy) Belgian strong - pour is hazy gold - aroma of orange peel, candi sugar, white pepper, coriander, toasted grain - flavor is medium sweet, lightly estery, moderately phenolic (spicy/peppery) - some notes of apricot and citrus peel - slight earthy, dusty yeast notes - finish is spicy, with lingering tropical notes - a decent strong Belgian ale.

Bottle courtesy of nuplastikk, thank you! Cloudy golden color, small white head. Aroma of slightly sour citrus and white bread. Taste is grapefruit, pineapple, straw, bread. Not bad.

A friend purchased this at Breezr Thru Liquors in Milwaukee, WI, enjoyed in a nice lakeside condo in St. Germain, WI. Appearance a cloudy light gold with a thin but rich white head. Aroma of pepper, spice, clove, yeast, almost more yeast incorporated than others I’ve had. Taste finishes dry, but slightly thick from the yeast presence. Decent stuff but I’ve had better for the style.

Draft at Alchemy. Hazy orange tan, with a big foamy off-white head. A pretty respectable offering, big fruity yeast esters, but surprisingly mellow and drinkable. Nice Styrian(?) hop balance gives it an authentic flavor. Semi lacking in terms of effervescence. Pleasantly clean and well attenuated, not a sticky mess at all. A pretty tasty beer, above average for a stateside example.

12 ounce bottle from Steve’s Mineral Point in Madison. Pours a clear golden color with a thin frothy white head. Average head retention and lacing. Aroma of pale bready notes, tart fruity notes, candi sugar and an almost champagne-like thing going on. The taste is bread, candi sugar, that champagne thing again, stone fruits. Medium bodied.
