Pours a very dark and murky brown with a finger of beige head. Very muddy river bank looking- not appealing but looks are often deceiving. Dark malts, chocolate, bold raspberry, tart red fruits, some roasted malts. The raspberry quickly overwhelmed the rest of the beer. Full bodied. Finishes with big and powerful tart raspberry and some background chocolate. Dig raspberries? This is your stout. I would have liked a more toned down raspberry profile to better complement the stout instead of beat the stout into submission. But still, it’s a fine beer.
