22 Oz bottle from Eric. Thanks so much! First marble, and it’s a good one for sure. Pours a dark brownish red color with a swirling fizz head. Caramel and dark fruit forward aroma. Flavor is semi sweet, with caramel, and a heavy vanilla background. Just enough bourbon to know it’s there, and not overpower the other fantastic flavors going on here. Dry, vanilla spice and oak finish. I knew I was excited for these beers, but this actually exceeded my expectations, which was a surprise to me. Awesome beer.

Bottle from Beaumont. CBC left a mark! Pours a mostly clear dark copper color with a medium white head- dies down. A big sweet fruit bourbon nose. Sugary, hot, some toffee, actually lots of toffee, berries, some vanilla, the bourbon is big. Light tobacco. Nice beer.

2013 vintage 22oz bomber from Elise. Aged the better part of a year. Wow. This is pretty phenomenal. Ruby amber-brown body, unfiltered. Foamy glass lacing beige head. Bourbon-vanilla aroma. Quite reminiscent of the Bourbon Barrel Barleywine from Goose Island in some respects. Has enough Barleywine characteristics that I’d be happy to categorize it as that. Chewy caramel woody bourbon candy tones. Solid.

Growler thanks to Ilya! Pours a clear amber with a slight brown hue and an off-white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of vanilla and bourbon with sweet grains and a bread backbone. Flavor starts with grain and as light bitterness/booze with growing vanilla and bourbon.

Bottle, courtesy of Trukpro – thanks! Amber brown pour with a bit of beige head. Light bits of lacing. Nose is mostly from the barrel treatment; oak, light bourbon, and vanilla. Chocolate and caramel malts along with some faded citrus hops have done well in the barrel. Minimal oak, light bourbon, and vanilla. It does get a little sweet overall… the aroma is so boozy I didn’t expect this (the heavy sweetness), but it still drinks quite well.

22oz bottle pours a hazy, cola brown with some clumpy, white head. Nose is mostly whiskey, caramel, vanilla, coconut, cola, malt, grape jelly. Flavor is sweet, brown sugar, cakey, whiskey, vanilla, a little paint thinner. Full, sweet, boozy finish. I’d definitely lay this down for a number of years.

Big thanks to Terminus for popping this at the Annual Black Friday tasting. It pours amber with copper edges and a thin tan head of foam. The aroma is sweetness, apples, brown sugar, a cinnamon note and the mild booze. The taste is rich and pretty smooth with brown sugar coated sweet red apple wedges and prunes and then moving into smooth bourbon like boozy notes. Nice stuff.
