Judge Amphlett is a classic Worcestershire pear variety, precious but not widely grown in the modern era. We have just one tree growing on our farm that towers up more than 50 foot! It is so large that by itself it produced enough fruit for a small barrel of delicious, easy drinking perry, one which truly tastes of pear with soft acidity and a very gentle texture on the palate.

500ml bottle from Ross on Wye, for #rgpm. Hazed yellow colour, short-lived bubbly head and aroma of perry pear, fruit, floral, funk hint. Taste is sweetish & sourish, perry pear, woody, tart funky, with some citric acidity and drying tannin. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, dry funky peary acidic & tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.
