21/9/2024. Bottle courtesy of Bruno, cheers! USA rating #1,000. Pours clear amber with a small frothy off-white head. Good old school IPA aroma, piney, tropical, bready, malt, stone fruits, citrus. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness and body. Quite smooth, average carbonation. Nice bitterness to finish. Decent.

Bottle from Drew: pours copper with white head. Aroma is pine, earthy, resin. Very olde schoole. Taste is lightly bitter, malty. Meh.

12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Olathe, 1/27/22. This is just called Stormchaser IPA, not Summer IPA. Bought it in winter today and best by is not until 02/23/22. Hazy orange, thin creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of floral and citrus hop, pale malt. Taste is tangerine, citrus, pale malt. Mild bitterness, juicy. Solid.

Draft. Clear golden body with an off-white head. Aroma of citrus, pine, flowers, tropical fruits. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, creamy texture, moderate carbonation. Aroma is nice, but the texture is off-putting for an ipa. And the flavors don't pop.

Bottle. A- Caramel, malty, citrus. A- Copper color, clear liquid, off white head. T- Caramel, citrus, pine, bitter, malty. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Had this 6 months past the best by date. That said, I liked it. The bitterness was mostly gone and it was a caramel malt bomb. I like that old school ipa sensation. I expect this would be better fresh but not bad. I do like Citra hops though.

Bottle pour into shaker pint glass. Appearance was hazy light brown with decent sparkle, 1/2 finger-width white foamy head, poor retention, nice soapy lacing. Aroma was dank resinous with some citrus, light fruit. Taste was as aroma--bitter dominant. Palate was medium bodied with thick, slippery texture, average carbonation and mostly bitter finish. Overall, bitter dominates sort of like a weak West Coast IPA. OK.
