10th Anniversary Release. Citra, Simcoe, Amarillo, Galaxy & Krush Hops
TEN is a Hazy Triple IPA made to celebrate Boombox’s 10th anniversary! A big birthday calls for a big beer, and this Triple IPA ticks the right boxes. We started with a hop profile that traces back to our earliest days... Citra, Simcoe, Amarillo, and Galaxy, along with an addition of Krush to take us into eleven. Citrus, Passionfruit, Guava, Peach, Berry, with a touch of dankness, florals, and pine, all carried through on a silky smooth mouthfeel and a moderate, balanced bitterness.

Opaque and looks a little soupy. Aroma is hoppish. On the palate some galaxyish hop notes, moderate hop burn and alcohol in the finish. Not bad as hazy TIPA goes.

On tap at Threefold, pours a hazy pale golden blonde with a small white bread. Aroma has notes of allium, hopburn, booze, and tropical stone fruit pith. Flavour is on the sweet side, which cuts down on the hopburn, with lots of tropical fruit pith, citrusy hops, and plenty of sugars. Surprisingly sweet, not too chalky; it’s alright.

On tap at Threefold. Pours a very murky yellow with a small white head. Lots of lime citrus, stonefruit, and some pine and allium on the nose. Flavour has that lime citrus character up front, supported by slightly acidic stone fruit, allium, and maybe a touch of resinous pine. The ABV is definitely tangible. There's a bit of hop burn on the nose and palate, but dominated by the other hop characteristics. For a strong hazy this is better than expected.
