Hoppy Wheat Beer
With roots in two of today's most popular brewing styles, 80-Acre Hoppy Wheat Beer is the result of careful cultivation by our brewers and cellarmen. Their efforts to craft a hybrid yielded a bumper crop of flavor; a delightfully distinctive ale with the aroma of an IPA and the refreshing taste of a wheat beer.

Reviewed from notes.
Poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a nice hazy golden yellow to slight lightly tinted orange with a one and a half finger white foamy to slightly bubbly (along the sides). This head died at a nice pace with a slight lacing here and there.
The smell had a sweet lemon and light wheat and then comes a decent pine to citrus aspect.
The taste took all of those previously mentioned flavors to make a fairly good refreshing satisfaction.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a pretty good sessionability about it. The carbonation was exceptionally smooth. Honestly, this beer came across exceptionally smooth and crisp. Is this supposed to be this way?
Overall, I like this one for the most part but something tells me for an American Pale Wheat Ale it just comes across too smooth. Should I complain there’s no wheat bite?

A random pick at a restaurant that paid off sooooooooooooooooooooooo well. Pint at Panifico (great food try this place) Boston. Golden pour with a thick white head. Nose of cilantro, wheat malt, touch of soap. The taste is sweeter up front, lovely creaminess, cilantro grains of paradise? Very drinkable. Great beer!

I was sipping this and I got a mouthful of cigar smoke from someone nearby and all of a sudden became a proponent of second hand smoke it tasted so good. Anyway, pours slightly hazy with good head and lacing. Finishes with light sourness. On tap at DC Summerfest.

12oz bottle picked up at the state store
Hazy straw golden with a small white head and some lacing. Aroma of hay, citrus, owned and lemon. Flavors of wheat, grainy, citrus and lemon peel
Decent, it would test good on a hot day.

bottle - Pours a cloudy straw color with a large off-white head. Ith as a very grapefruit forward aroma. The flavor has mild to moderate hops bitterness with wheat malt and a bit of citrus. It’s light bodied and the malt is bland. Underwhelming.

Location: Draft at The Ginger Man, Houston, 10/8/13
Aroma: The nose is hoppy and wheaty, with pine, resin, citrus, lemon, and wheat
Appearance: Pours a cloudy gold with a frothy white head and plenty of lace
Flavor: The taste is a nice balance of light sweet, medium bitter, and light spice
Palate: The body is light-medium, it has a pretty darn good mouthfeel, and a dry finish
Overall Impression: I thought this was a really nicely White IPA, Hoppy Wheat Beer, or whatever the heck you want to call this pseudo-style. It has a nice mix of hop flavors and wheat backbone.
