From tap at Het Klooster, Delft. Aroma is roasted and hoppy with a healthy dose of coffee, milk chocolate and fruity notes including tropical fruits. Flavour is bitter and a bit sweet. Body is medium. A fine BIPA with a pleasant balance between roast and hops.

Taster @ Bierfestival Den Bosch. Black with a beige head. Malty aroma with roasted notes and citrus hops. Sweet taste with a nice bitter finish. Nice old-fashioned BIPA.

44cl can from a trade with MonsterMagnet, thanks. A clear dark reddish brown beer with a beige head. Aroma of mild roasted dark malt, coffee, melasse. Taste of cold coffee, vanilla, roasted malt, caramel, white chocolate.

440ml can. Quasi black colour with ruby shimmer and small to average, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, off-white to beige head. Roasty, dark malty and minimally leafy, fruity, hoppy aroma, hints of dark chocolate, blackberry, whiffs of coffee. Taste is slightly bitter, minimally leafy, fruity hoppy and roasty dark malty, slightly diluted hints of blackberry, blueberry, dark chocolate, coffee, some roasty bitterness; lingering, bitter roasty, minmally chalky finish. Watery texture, smooth and soft palate, fine, soft carbonation. Rather watery, a tad inhomogeneous - not bad.

On tap at stadsbrouwhuis Leiden. Pours almost black, some head. Aroma is sweet and malty and very roasty. Intense roasty coffee aroma. Some chocolate. Taste is similar, not that sweet, mostly roasty. Dry finish. Quite nice.

Bottle @ home. Dark brown to black color, medium to full sized beige head. Hmm aroma is not good...it smells infected.. Flavor is indeed infected. Not too bad right now but probably getting way worse very soon. Taste malts, sourness, dark malts, but the hops are gone and sourness is in its place. Drainpour unfortunately. -- Update: when I bought this I missed the best before date, which I just found out was Februari 2017. So my rating now was 5-3-4-3-8=2.3 but I will -for now- rate it 3.5 as is the average score, because I feel the brewery is quite ok and this beer is just not up to their normal level, so I believe that's due to the store rather than due to the brewery. Definitely looking for another chance to try this.

Opaque dark brown colour, mid-size frothy beige head, half-way lasting, good lacing. Aroma roasted malts, light cocoa, bit wood. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, roasty, milk chocolate, red berries, bit earthy. Malty bittersweet aftertaste with citrus and coffee notes, medium body, oily to watery texture, soft carbonation, strange yet nice.
