@Maxx’s TURD Tasting–22oz bottle-pours black with a foamy tan head. Aroma is coffee-dark malt. Taste is coffee/roasty-dark malt, earthy hops. Not my taste.

Bottle from a trade with BlackIPA. Pours clear medium brown color with tan head. Coffee aroma with some chocolate and roasted malt. Coffee and milk chocolate flavor with burnt malts. Flavor is a little too roasty for me. Medium to full body with moderate carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel. Thanks Shawn.

Black liquid with thick, full tan head in an English Pint glass. Respectable retention. Nose is espresso and roasted notes. I served this at cellar temperature and the nose was light and subdued. I never would have guessed how much flavor I was about to experience. Caramel malt, dark chocolate and a lingering coffee toward the end of the sip. I also pick up vanilla notes. Body is a bit thin however, for me it just means I can drink more. Overall, it is an enjoyable porter that I would purchase again. 22 oz. bottle from Table and Vine for $7.99.

Thanks to Armin for sharing - dark ruby pour - nose of dough, nuttiness, peanut skin, espresso, vanilla, maple - a bit messy in the nose - fairly dry in the flavor - a lot of hazelnut and peanut skin - light cocoa - vanilla - a whole bean coffee flavor rather than a coffee toddy character - a pretty high bitterness - meh - the coffee character is high, but of poor quality.

Bottle @ Brandon’s house. Dark brown appearance with a tan/brown head. Roasty, nutty, caramel malty, coffee, creamy toffee, grassy aroma. Toasty, nutty, espresso, roasty malty, straw flavor.

Pours deep mahogany-tinged black into a Sam glass. Mocha head with little retention recedes to sicken surface. Espresso and dark chocolate aromas. Medium bodied with dark espresso upfront turning dry in the lasting chocolate and resin finish.

Pours a solid black color with a frothy tan head. Smells of milk chocolate, coffee and roasted grains. Not much in the way of hops in the aroma but lots of coffee. Taste is a rich thick creamy roasted grain and coffee mixed with milk and dark chocolate. Medium to thick body, light to medium level of carbonation. I tasted this first and while its not earth shattering in it’s complexity it is very tasty.

Bottle at RBSG. Pours black. Nose/taste of mostly coffee - lots of espresso, coffee, java chips as well as mocha, vanilla and lightly roasted chocolate malts. Body on the thinner side of the style.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy brown with a brown head that dissipates slowly and completely. Aroma is full of coffee grinds with a nice matching roasted malt note. Flavor begins with roasted malts and is joined by a rich coffee note that is not overwhelming in anyway. Quite nice.
