Draft at the BP. My first visit to Crescent and my first beer from them... ordered a pint of their black IPA as it’s my favorite style. Overall this is a very nice beer. Light pine, roast, and chocolate work together in the aroma. Lightly sweet, but mostly bitters and roast in the taste. Subtle pine taste is nice. Balanced and easy to drink... hard to believe it’s 9.0 abv.

Draft at PreFunk-Nampa. Pleasant surprise. Near black pour, small soft head leaves curtains of lacing. Big roast grain aroma gets more prominent in taste. Huge bitter bite, but roast malts carry it well.

On tap at crescent brewing Nampa. Pours out dark brown almost black topped with a tan head. Nose is nice hops ash smoke and roast malts. Taste is more of the nice hops and a well balanced roast malts.

On Tap at PreFunk Nampa Murky dark brown black. Thin wispy tan head. Spotty lacing. Suitably called a double. Big piney hop aromas and flavors. Enough dark roast to balance. Full bodied. A big beer, well done.

Draft. Murky brown color, thick beige head, solid lacing. Aroma of brown bread and grass. Taste is huge roasted coffee grounds, pine, grass. Very nice.
