This is a traditional German wheat beer made using 60% German Wheat and 40% German Pilsner malt. The distinction is in the aroma and flavor clove / banana in the nose, slight sourness in the flavor. There are three versions of this weizen brewed yearly.

Hazy unfiltered golden coloured body with a nice-sized white head to top off nicely. Aroma of coriander seed, bananas and yeast are all very noticeable. Medium-bodied; Strong pungent wheat, spice and bubble gum tastes immediately noticeable. Aftertaste shows some of the yeast and coriander seed freshness. Overall, a good beer for the November (not really kidding) heat!!! I sampled this beer on draught at Tampa Bay Brewing Company’s Brewpub in Tampa (Ybor City), Florida on 10 November 2007.

Draft. Golden/straw beer with an off-white head. Low aroma with light wheat, malt, and light spice. Wheat, light spice, lightly skunked flavor. Wheat, banana, and light spice lingering. Medium bodied. Lacking a bit of yeast characteristics - there, but could be more prevelant.

on tap-pours a retaining thin white head and straw color. Aroma is banana/clove, secondary wheat, spicy hops. Taste is banana/clove, wheat, spicy hops. Light body. Comes across as a cross between a Hefe and a Pilsner.

Draft at brewery. Slightly hazy yellow color with thin white head. Nice aroma of banana, some light malt sweetness and bubble gum. The flavor starts kind of tart and becomes more and more sweet. There’s some malt sweetness that gives way to a sweet banana flavor. Near the finish I taste a lemony citrus hop note.
