Another Off Year for Foxwhelp - on our farm, years ending in an even number are our low yield years for this variety. When the trees have less weight of fruit, they infuse that fruit with far greater intensity and flavour. This is a brilliant expression of British cider's most iconic cider apple. Foxwhelp has been grown in Herefordshire for over 400 years, and once you have tasted this cider you'll understand why. A vibrant, zingy cider with the tartiness of rhubarb, the aromas of strawberries and a punchy, refreshing flavour.

750ml bottle from Ross on Wye. Golden colour, thin white foam head and aroma of apple, flesh, strawberry, funk, earth. Taste is tart, tangy, zingy sourness, appley, fleshy, with a strawberry note, funky hints and drying acidity. Medium bodied, light carbonation, dry tart sour acidic finish. Nicely drinkable.
