sampled from a growler at Cigar City, pours thin yellow. Strong funky nose of rubber lemon and more funk. Super tart with citrus and vinegar notes. So strong for such a low alcohol beer.

Poured up on tap at the CCB mini opening a hazy sandy dirty lemon color. The aroma is bold and thick with soured citrus, graininess, some wheat as well as sweaty neck leathers (does such a thing exist?). The taste is big bold old dirty shoe sour citrus and farmhouse grainy. This is refreshing and bursting with flavor. This isn’t like the other Berliners I’ve had but it seems like the typical American approach by making the flavor (not ABV) more of an Imperial Berliner Weisse. I say “yes, I’ll have another.” Fantastic!

On tap at Peg’s Brewpub. Yummy, yummy from the start. Sour tart olfactory with a hint of farminess. Lovely and mildly sour taste bud impact, really complex yet light. Quite sessionable, I wish I had my growler. Delicious, nice finish. Like sour gingerale, yea baby. I really enjoyed this, good job, Pegs Beirmester!
