bottle - Pours clear golden with an off-white two finger head. It has a fruity aroma, mainly of citrus. The flavor is very sweet with some fruity and cereal character. It’s medium bodied with minimal hops presence. Too sweet even for a bock, IMO, but okay.

22 ounce bottle into lager glass, best before 5/5/2013. Slight gusher upon opening. Pours fairly crystal clear golden straw color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings down the glass, with a lot of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of apple, raisin, grape, biscuit, cracker, light pepper, herbal, and floral hops. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of fruity ester, bready malt, and hop notes; with decent strength. Taste of apple, pear, grape, biscuit, cracker, light pepper, herbal, grass, and floral hops. Lingering notes of light fruits, biscuit, cracker, light pepper, herbal, and floral hops on the finish for a bit. Good balance of fruity ester, bready malt, and hop flavors; with solid robustness and zero cloying flavors present after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a slightly slick, smooth, and fairly crisp mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a good Helles Bock. Good balance of malt, hop, and fruity ester notes; and very smooth to sip on. A nicely enjoyable offering.

On tap at Pauley’s Crepe Bar. Pale straw color, with no head. Honeysuckle, lemons, hay, and light pine. The flavor is light and sweet, with a little earthy bitterness. The palate is light, creamy, and effervescent. The finish is crisp and clean. Overall, is a startlingly light and easy-drinking beer for 8%. The flavor is light and delicious, and the palate is pleasant and clean. Nice.

Like the name. Had on tap at Stagshead pours yellow with fluffy head and semi sweet nose. Tastes corny, of light honey, some fruit, and malty. Kinda harsh on palate with semi sweet finish.

Bottle. Pours clear fizzy orange-gold with a small fizzy white head that disappears quickly with some lacing. Aroma is grain, malt, caramel-butter. Flavor is grain, grass, a bit of malt backbone but minimal sweetness. Finish is medium bitter and dry, with warming alcohol notes.

Clear gold, small but thick white head, solid lacing. Aroma of straw and paper. Taste is slightly bitter lemon. Plain.

Clear golden color, not much head, light fruity malty aroma. Medium-bodied. Quite sweet, honeyish and malty with herbal notes. Short sweetish finish. Quite German.

Pour is a clear yellow with a large white head. Aroma is a sweet malt with some honey. Flavor is more grainy malt with a little sweetness and wet paper bag. This was way underwhelming. Basicly a sweeter pale lager.
