Nitro tap as Coventry Cream. Pours hazy hazel, large fluffy off-white head, dissipates fairly slowly, good lacing. Aroma is toast, bread, noble hops, biscuit. Light aroma overall. Flavor is light sweet, light plus bitter. Lingering bittterness. Medium body, soft mouthfeel. Pretty good.

Had as "Coventry Cream Ale" in a 16oz can. Poured a clear amber color with a pretty thick head. Aroma was creamy, light sweet notes, but not sickly sweet. Pleasant sweetness in this one. Light herbal hop character. Really easy to drink.

Sampled on nitro draft at the Pratt Street Alehouse this beer poured a red-brown color with a huge creamy orange-white head that lingered and left excellent lacing. The aroma was toasty with perfumey and fruity hops. The flavor was bitterish and a bit harsh with perfume and tobacco notes. Long bitter and harsh tobacco finish. Medium body. Meh.

Location: Nitro draft (on the menu as "smooth pour") at the Pratt Street Ale House, 9/6/09, under the name "Coventry Cream Ale"

Aroma: Nose has some citrus, some nice vanilla, earthiness
Appearance: Amber color, creamy and lasting head, lots of coating lace
Flavor: Some creamy vanilla, citrus hops, a very tasty beer
Palate: Creamy mouthfeel, smooth, nice amount of body
Overall Impression: This was one of the better beers I tried at the Pratt Street brewery. A very good cream ale (which is what I think this should be categorized as). A beer I enjoyed quite a bit.

Sample at the brewpub (as "Coventry Cream Ale". This beer pours a dark reddish-amber color with a medium and creamy white head that dissipates slowly. Thin sheet of lacing on the glass. Aroma of mild hops and earthy malt. Light and creamy body with flavors of citrusy hops, earthy malt and a touch of sweet fruit. The finish is smooth and mildly hoppy with a sweet malt aftertaste. Above average overall.

A hazy orange beer with an off-white head. The aroma has light notes of citrus and fruit - a bit boring. The flavor has notes of citrus, fruit - peaches, and lighter notes of toffee. The mouthfeel is very creamy and smooth.
