A Munich Style Helles. Golden and medium-bodied, it has a fresh noble hop character and lightly toasted malt flavor. This classic summer time lager is made for the warm, lazy days of Summer in America’s heartland.

16oz can c/o Ryan. Drinkable, straightforward lager. Not leaning into the European malts or hops, sort of thin, not a lot going on. Quite a boring beer.

Pretty meh, what with the fizzy pour and the neutral aroma and slightly-better-than-macro malt/hop profile. Drinkable but unremarkable.

Poured a Pale gold. Bit of straw but I got mostly lemons here. Good but not at the price point here.

From a bottle. Decent sweet nose, maybe some sweet corn in the smell. After a gentle pour, virtually clear pale with a thin white head. First taste is rather smoother than expected lacks that annoying sweet cloying bite so common with unrefined domestic others in this style variety. Good cutting co2 as well, makes it quite refreshing to the palate. In the middle, I'm still enjoying this. I rate this right up with the better helles dorts I've done: Edenton Helles Angel, North Country Worth Your Weight In Gold, Blue Canoe Titusville Gold Lager, Uinta Fest Helles, Samuel Adams Bavarian Lager & Löwenbräu München Original. Finishes nicely, could use another bottle!

4 oz pour on draft at Spacebar. Mostly clear pale yellow with off-white head. Aromas of malt, citrus. Tastes of wheat, malt, citrus. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Good lager.

bottle - This gold colored brew has a mild, grainy malt aroma. The flavor has sweet grainy malt and a hint of hops bitterness. It’s light to medium bodied and overall not bad but it’s bland and underwhelming.

Not a bad barley profile. Pours pale gold with OK head and lacing. Light bitterffinish. On gold at pizzeria paradiso.

Location: Draft at Pony Bar, 5/15/13, as Schlafly Summer Lager

Aroma: It has a clean nose of pale German malts, some grassy and floral hops, and a bit of fruit
Appearance: This one pours a clear gold with a white head, and medium lace
Flavor: The taste is well-balanced between the light sweetness and clean hop bitterness
Palate: The body is pretty light, it isn't watery at all, it is crisp, clean, and very drinkable, with a crisp finish
Overall Impression: I thought this was an excellent example of the style. It is light and easy to drink, but still very flavorful, with a clean, crisp hop feel. Overall, this one was a very nice summer style beer. It is very sessionable, and perfect for the season.
