Got hops? This vicious IPA does, boasting powerful hop flavor and aroma. Out Hammerhead combines a carefully selected malt base. three varieties of boil hops, and a generous dry-hop to form an India Pale Ale with exceptional balance.

Draft. Orange and caramel malt aroma. Golden yellow color with small head. Sweet orange caramel malt and moderately bitter orange peel hops flavor. Really like a malty IPA - probably in the minority.

The pour is a hazy orange with a quickly falling white head. The nose is citrus hops and fruity bubble gum. The flavor is lightly bitter with a dry finish.

Tap. Pours pale amber/orange, slightly hazy, with a medium off-white head, decent staying power and good lacing. Aroma is dominated by grapefruit, with some grassiness. Taste is grassy, citrus, with some malt body and a bitter dry finish. Crisp and medium to full bodied. Seemed like a good offering to me.

Sampled on draft at the brewery on 7/15/11. Pours a hazy amber color with a large creamy tan head. Aroma of earthy notes and herbal hops. The taste is caramel and earthy hops. A bit of a lingering hop burn. Medium bodied.
