Tap. Pours crystal clear pale orange, small off white head, decent lacing. Aroma is super light, biscuit, grass, hints of citrus. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter. Not much going on here. Light plus body. Clean, but Meh.

Bottle. Caramel malt and citrusy herbal hops (citronella or lemongrass maybe) aroma. Hazy deep honey gold with a moderate off-white head. Biscuity caramel malt, citrus peel, and herbal hops flavor. Body on the lighter side of medium, soft carbonation.

Nearly clear, amber, with a whipped, off-white head. Orange/tangerine aroma. Taste is orange malt, creamy...with a steady orange-peel/leafy bitter...... a little peppery..... Very pleasant.

Total Wine, Fairfax: Pours a copper colour with a quickly dissipating head. Aroma is not that powerful: light hoppage, with a hefty malt backbone. Upon tasting it, the malts take first whistle and provide most of this beers oomph. This is not to say that the beer is unbalanced towards malts, but rather that the beer does not have a hearty hoppy kick. All in all, this is an OK, but not a very good APA.

Location: On Tap at Legend, 12/26/09

Overall Impression: A nice, well-balanced, copper colored APA. Has some earth, spice, and citrus components to it. A very drinkable beer, but ultimately rather average...

22 ounce bottle from Whole Food Market, Charlottesville, VA. Pours a copper color with a very large head, good head retention and thick lacing. Very cascade-ish hop aroma with some subtle malty notes in the background. Taste is earthy and citrus hops with some caramel malt notes. Medium boded. Very straightforward, but solid.

Weak orange aroma. Dark orange color, clear, with a medium yellow head. Taste is buttery, bitter, with a hint of orange peel. More grapefruity in the end.

Thanks to Numenor for this. Tall, three dimensional head of off-white that rides over a deep, clear amber body. Light malt and hop aroma. The flavor balacne is malty with some underlying bitterness. Some dryness in the finish. Smooth, easy drinking.
