At aq tasting, thanks Tom, small bubbly off white head, aroma of citrus and white fruits, flavor of herbs and citrus with an some nuttines and herbal touch, bready malty backbone, strong smooth bitterness. Good and quite mellow for a DIPA.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Beer Market Jaffa. Thanks Tom L. Hazy orange. Aroma of stale hops, a bit fruity. Sweetish flavor with malt, a honey hint, stale hops and a bitterish finish. Medium-bodied.

12 ounce bottle. Cloudy amber orange color. Small rocky beige head. Nice clinging lace. Aroma is sweet caramel malt with notes of tropical fruit and floral hops. Bittersweet toasted malt flavor. Complex citrusy hops in mid taste. Spicy hops and alcohol in finish.

Pours deep gold into a Sam glass. Pancake head with medium retention recedes leaving sticky spiders. Earthy hop and tart citrus aromas. Medium bodied with sweet caramel and sourdough upfront turning to sweet pine and citrus in the lasting finish.

Poured from a 12oz bottle. Aroma is somewhat muted but there is some tropical fruit, citrus and resin. Medium light caramel note with some cracker and biscuit as well. Definitely not as hoppy as I would prefer. Pours a fairly clear copper color with some amber and orange highlights; this is pretty dark for an IPA. Thick, slightly tan head with pretty good retention. Moderate lacing and mid sized legs. Flavor has a medium sweetness to it with quite a bit of malt character - toasted bread, caramel, cracker and biscuit. Moderately strong bitterness helps dry it out a bit. Faint buttery note. Not much hop flavor; some light tropical fruit, medium light citrus and pine resin. Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall a pretty boring IPA without much hop flavor or aroma. This is pretty on point for what I think of when I picture East Coast IPAs. The malt character is too dark as well.

Dark amber in the glass, nice intense floral hop aroma. The beer starts very floral, lots of hop aroma. The mainpart is very intense, not too sweet, nicely hopped. Bitter pine aroma together with fragile floral hops, nice bitterness and a not too sweet body. The aftertaste is long, intense floral hoppy, smooth sweet-malty body and nicely bitter.
A very nice and balanced Double IPA - and even for the 8.5% not too sweet. Great brew! --> 13/12/12/12
