22 oz. bottle, pours a hazy orange amber with a small white head. Aroma is over-malted, with residual sugars, caramel malts and some resin. Flavour is muted, with earthy notes, dirty yeasty notes, and a little hops. I wonder what the hell they were going for here. Very mixed up and jumbled. Not a disaster, but not good.

Bottle from Haggen’s Grocery, Woodinville
Hazy amber color. Caramel aroma and flavor, rather dry, with earthy and tired hops. Is this old? Not good.

I had this more than enough times to say something, well here goes.
This has always been poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a decent hazy orange to brown color with a delicate half fingered white foamy head that did leave some stringy lacing here and there.
The smell had some sweet English malts in front of the hops and honestly, the hops seemed extremely faded and somewhat dead.
The taste was mainly sweet but it did show some delicate bitterness here and there.
On the palate, it sat about a medium on the body with a decent sessionable quality about it. The carbonation seemed good for the style and for me.
Overall, not a bad English IPA, but not a stellar one.

22oz bottle picked up at La Bodega
Appearance: Clear cooper with a big off-white head and good lacing
Aroma: Grapefruit, floral and caramel
Taste: Floral, caramel with a herbal tea bitterness in the finish
Ok, but wouldn’t give me morning wood.
