Sparkling Ale is an American Triple, fermented with both Trappist and Belgian yeast. The result is a golden, malty ale, high in alcohol with a fruity nose, a rich ester profile and tart finish.

Bier Baron, DC tap ($5): Pours golden with white head. Aroma is american hops, yeast, coriander, and citrus. Taste is more bitter than a Belgian tripel. It is also more mellow and less sweet. Easy to sip. Nothing special, but kind of good anyways.

Location: Draft @ Growlers Pour House, 12/9/12
Aroma: It has a nose of Belgian yeast, spice, some banana, apricot, and other fruits
Appearance: This one pours a clear golden color with a white head and some light lace
Flavor: Tastes a little sweet, fairly fruity, a hint tart, fairly yeasty, and has a good amount of spice
Palate: The body is medium, it has a fairly fizzy carbonation, and a lightly dry finish
Overall Impression: I thought this was some solid stuff overall, but it didn't feel special or anything. It did hide the alcohol pretty well.

Draft into a 4oz sample glass. Pours a clear gold with about a finger of white head. Aroma of spices, citrus fruit and white bread. Taste is about the same but more spices. Medium bodied with a somewhat sticky texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Overall, very good. I would gladly drink this again.

Tap. Orange and peach aroma. Golden yellow color with small head. Sweet orange, peach, and malt flavor with a light astringent finish. Nice - a good tripel.

Enjoyed on tap at High Dive in Chicago, IL while hanging out with a good friend on his 30th birthday. Appearance is clear gold with almost no head, thin white rim around head. Aroma not really anything there, if anything a small bit of banana and clove. Taste I’m not really into, has a crispness with a slight burn from alcohol and that banana/clove in the back end. All of that combined just doesn’t make a good flavor. Happy to have tried but won’t try again.

Pours a transparent, burnt orange with one ring of clumping head. Aroma is primarily tropical fruit, pineapple, pears, some pitted fruit. Flavors are the same, pineapple, some regular apple, pear, tropical fruit, a little rum. Full bodied, sweet finish.

Draught at HopCat, RBSG 2010. Very spicy, yeasty aroma. Honey, spice, rather lame American yeast. Very dull. Not terrible, but everything I dislike about American triples.
