Bottle. Light gold in color, like a light white wine. Aroma is very light pear, fruit and apple. Taste is pear but there is apple also. Sweet but not too sweet.

Another very generic cider. Yes, you can tell that it is pear, but not much more than that. Flavor and body are thin and watery. Good carbonation though. Meh.

I love me my ciders for easy drinking.

Sampled on draft this cider poured a very pale yellow color with no head and no lacing. The aroma was tangy apple and pear and was moderately sweet. The flavor was tangy and sweet pear and apple. Long finish. Medium body. Solid.

Old rating. Bottle from Old Town. Aromas of pear with some apple as well. Taste is more of the same. Dry finish. Not bad at all. --- Beer merged from original tick of Woodchuck Pear Hard Cider on 15 Oct 2017 at 11:24

Bottle: Poured a pale light yellow color perry with medium carbonation. Aroma consists of light fresh pear juice with medium amount of residual sugars. Easy drinking with limited amount of complexity. It makes for a good drink on hot summer days.

Continuing my current cider kick on some re-reviews. I come to this.
This was poured into a pint glass and a wine glass.
The appearance was the same in both as it was slightly amber to hazy orange color with a one finger white bubbly head that dissipated within seconds. There wasn’t any lacing but still a ton of carbonation was seen rising.
The smell definitely had the pears over top of the tart apples helping to balance through the sweetness from the pears.
The taste was combined and balanced fairly well.
On the palate, the normal harshness I expected from this came but dissipated as it warmed, okay (didn’t that happen with another cider I just had by them?, ah okay, no worries).
Overall, hmmm...well, not exactly one of the better ciders I just recently had, but do-able to say the least. Woodchuck makes better.

bottle - Pours clear pale yellow and smells like pears. The flavor is sweet with pears but there also seem to be apples in there. I wasn’t really expecting the latter. Some quick research indicates that the National Organization of Cider Makers (a UK group) says that perries can contain up to 25% apple juice. The existence of the rule tells me it’s probably not unusual to have apples as part of a perry. Here it may be 25%, it may be more. I’ve no idea. Anyway, pardon the digression... the pear taste here isn’t as strong as other perries I’ve had and seems rather artificial. It’s an okay drink, but I’m underwhelmed.
