Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a clear yellow-golden color with a medium sized foamy white head that faded and left decent lacing. The aroma was somewhat sour, tangy and had a sour mash old style lager presence. The flavor was tangy and tart with moderate sour mash and faint fruity hops. Medium length tart and tangy sour mash and fruity hop finish. Medium body. Pretty tasty for what it is.

22 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Market Fairfax. Pours a clear golden amber color with a medium head. Fair head retention and lacing. Sweet and grassy aroma... with honey and corn. Taste is pale lightly toasted malts, bitter grassy hops and light fruity notes. Fairly crisp and refreshing. Medium bodied.

Light golden coloured body with a thin white head. Mild aroma with some soapy scents and a bit of malt. Light-bodied; Strong assertive malt with a bit of hops. Aftertaste shows some cardboard, a bit of sweetness and nothing else. Overall, not horrible but obviously not the best! I sampled this six ounce sample from pseudo-draught at the Old Dominion 2005 Beer Festival on 24-June-2005 in Ashburn, Virginia.
