Since I created this brewery on the site and added this single beer, I hope my the first rating will be insightful and helpful to everyone who reads. First off, the colour of this beer is nice and darker amber with a few red highlights throughout. The head is very dense with large bubbles and is a light tan. The smell is a pleasant mix of hops and malt with a nice sweetness...one which reminds me of toffee. The taste is a bit watery and more malty than hoppy, but a decent mix. Not too many other flavours dominate the palate other than malt and hops, but all-in-all, a pretty good beer. Now for the specifics: I bought this in a 22 ounce bottle size (wierd for Virginia) at The Opera House Gourmet in Manassas, Virgina. I'm guessing this is available from the Brewery in Fredricksburg, but I don't go down there often, so it was neat to see it available in Northern Virginia.
