Named after the nautical term for the green buoy that helps navigate ships through the channels of Hampton Roads, the Green Can Gold Ale is a light bodied golden ale. Crisp, clean easy drinking ale, our most approachable offering.

Sampled form a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright golden color with a large foamy white head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was tangy, sweet and almost grassy. The flavor was tangy, bready and had notes of grass and perfume. Medium length tangy grass and perfume finish. Medium body. Uninspired.

Bottle. Lactic barley malt aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Slightly sweet barley malt and lightly bitter hay hops flavor. Not bad - a standard golden ale.

Picked up a bottle when I was down in Virginia Beach. Poured a nice golden color with a medium sized fluffy white head, good carbonation in there. Nice looking. Aroma was biscuit, malts, not a lot else in there. IBU was so low I wasnβt expecting much of a hop presence, and I was right - little to none. Really fresh, surprisingly Iβm enjoying this one a lot.

Draft at the source, courtesy of Jimmy - thank you sir! Hazy golden color, small white head with good retention, solid lacing. Aroma of subtle citrus and light straw. Taste is lager-like. Not bad.

Draft at VABF10: Gym sock aroma. Clear amber, thin head. Feety light malt flavor. The weakest offering from this brewer that I have had.
