On tap at the brewery. Dang, I thought this was going to be smoked. Pours black with tan foam. Tastes roasty, dry, lightly sweet. Flavors of ash, chocolate, vanilla, cola, dark bread. A tad thin. Not bad.

Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a gentle dark brown close to black color with a thin white to off white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute. Some light stringy lacing slid into the body.
The smell had a dry roasted coffee bean with a super light underscore of chocolate.
The taste was dry, light chocolate with a lighter dose of the coffee bean.
On the palate, this one came across right at a medium on the body. Sessionable? Maybe...
Overall, this was a pretty good Irish Dry Stout worthy of having again.

Draft. Murky dark brown color, solid lacing. Aroma of dark milk chocolate. Taste is roasted coffee grounds. OK.

Tap @ Brewpub: Dark brown pour with a modest tan head. The aroma is a blend of roasty malts and dark chocolate. Hints of coffee. Tastes balanced with light smoke, roast, bittersweet chocolate, and espresso. Retains a sneaky amount of sweetness for a dry stout. Nice.

Probably the stand-out beer here - black pour - frothy, lasting tan head - pretty dang sweet for a dry stout - bittersweet aroma with some vanilla cream, chocolate, anise, roast - creamy mouthfeel - a little bitter black malt up front - quite a bit of cream sweetness through the middle and finish - a light bit of roast and anise - lingering, bittersweet finish - a decent stout.
