This specialty porter is the fifth in a series of collaborative releases by Pirate Life and St. Agnes Distillery.
It spent six months ageing on XO brandy casks, in which time characters from the spirit soaked oak were gifted to the beer.
Additions of coconut enhance the offering, resulting in an indulgent medley of cocoa, marzipan, and spice.

Can, Carnegie Cellars. Nearly black, a 1/2cm of light tan head that's soon less than a coat. Aroma of chocolate, brandy, roast, coconut fudge. Silky, medium low carbonation. Toddy-like coconut and brandy with roast and chocolate almost pushed into the background. Not all that sweet considering, with alcohol not quite overt but lurking close by. Nice, coherent.
