Echte Prachtstücke - die Bellheimer Ziegenböcke. Doch Namensgeber für unser Bockbier sind sie nicht. Nach der Legende geht der Name auf ein altes Brauer-Ritual zurück: Nach dem Fassanstich setzten sich die Lehrlinge auf einen mit Bier getränkten Holzbock –nur wenn sie beim Aufstehen daran kleben blieben, war das Gebräu stark genug.

Sample, thanks oh6gdx! Lightly hazy nut brown, small head. Caramelly nose with dates and hay. Sweet with near full body and well rounded mouthfeel. Dates, rich malt and grass. Mid bitter finish.

Thanks Henrik! Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is caramel, toffee and some wood with mild syrupy tones to it. Flavour is floral, some caramel, toffee, mild syrupy tones with a bit spiciness to it too. Nice toffeeish aftertaste with mild wood too.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear, reddish brown with a solid, lacing off-white head with good retention. Biscuit and toffee in the nose. Rich, malty notes, flavors as above paired with massive accents of licorice. No real bitterness. Lovely! 281024

33cl bottle. A clear reddish brown beer with a beige head. Aroma of strong sticky caramelized malt, Toffee. Taste of strong dark caramelized malt, Toffee, oxidized fruits, plums, strong fruity finish.

Bottle. Clear mahagony/copper with a really nice white head. Aroma of malts, marzipan and dark fruits with acceptable hints of diacetyl. Taste of more malts, honey, nuts, red fruits, caramel and a little bit of toffee. Medium bitterness. Medium carbonation. Slightly boozy. These clouds (and this Doppelbock) are solid.
