Wow, that is f-ckin pale! Gotta be one of the most pale IPAs I've ever seen. Truly a glass of concrete.
Pine-and-herb-laced white grape with big mineral, light passionfruit and unripe green guava. It goes pretty well with the ultra pale, honey-like malt, giving intense but fairly delicate aromatics. Dry hop intensifies and takes some of the delicateness away, however, adding some chalk and dull mineral. Definitely not too sweet for all the intense pale malt and while there is some pine character, it's not resinous/problematic.
Dry hop is massive giving slight chalk, big mineral, lots of fresh zesty hop spice and interesting white wine, funky passion fruit and rich, fresh citrus. Bitterness is on the lower side, but still ample in concert with all the dank spice. Just a bit chalky/dull on the end, creating a somewhat abrupt finish, though the plentiful dry hop lingers long via retronasal hop burps and such. Another very intriguing beer from these guys that's just missing a few elements. I can't wait to try my first Lolev beer where they nail everything; it will be absolutely epic, no doubt. As is, this is still top tier stuff.
