Deep in color and full bodied. It gets its splendid hop aroma from Fuggle hops, accenting the rich flavors of this wonderful well-rounded ale.

Sampled on draft at the Pratt St Ale House this beer poured a red-brown color with a medium sized creamy white head that left good lacing. The aroma was malty and a bit toasty. The flavor was bitter, dryish and astringent with a fruity undertone. Medium length finish. Medium body. Meh.

16oz pour at the Big Hunt DC. Pours a clear, brick red with some creamy, white head. Nose of cracker, malt, a little orange, some bread crust. Flavor is the same, fairly standard, light bitterness, orange, malt, cracker. Clean finish. You know... standard Irish ale.

Location: Draft at the Pratt Street Ale House, 9/6/09
Aroma: Sweet caramel malts, some grassy hops too
Appearance: Dark reddish color
Flavor: Similar characteristics to nose, but a little more robust
Palate: Smooth finish, medium-full body
Overall Impression: This was a pretty nice Irish red beer, one that wasn't overly special, but was certainly good enough to be enjoyable.

A hazy red beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with light notes of berries - I find to too light. The flavor is sweet with quite a lot of lemon, but also light notes of berries as well as hints of wood towards the end, which is bitter and hoppy. Nothing special.
