Bottle. Sweet apricot malt and light floral citrus aroma Hazy honey gold with a moderate white head. Lightly sweet, biscuit malt, citrus peel, and grass. Medium body, soft carbonation.

12oz bottle from Pick’s poured into a shaker. Pours a light orange with about 1 finger of white head. Aroma of citrus hops. Taste is medium bitter and lightly sweet. Medium bodied with lively carbonation and a long bitter finish. Overall, very good beer. I wish it were available year round.

Weak malt and weaker honey nose. Cloudy orange, white chunks, headless. Overripe oranges, and lemons. Some floral notes appear at midpalate. Drinks ok, but doesn’t impress.

12oz bottle-thanks to JustinH for trading–pours a retaining off white head and hazy gold color. Aroma is spice, light malt-bready. Taste is spice hops, light/medium malt-bready. Good carbonation.

Whole Foods Market six-pack ($12.99): Pours a really weird cloudy and sediment filled orange color and a white head with lacing. Aroma is on the maltier side of IPAs with a more subdued fruit and hop presence. The taste is bitter towards the finish, but in no way intensely hoppy like a West Coast example. It is a little sweet and does do a good job of covering up the high alcohol content. For that matter, it is rather smooth and easy to drink. A kind of strange example of an IPA, but pretty good.

Slightly cloudy copper coloured body with a very thin tan head and some larger bubbles rising from the bottom & sides. Aroma of fresh hops, grass, malt, metal, yeast and a touch of citrus sweetness - Nice! Medium-bodied; Assertive hops up front fade down nicely to a pleasant and complex maltiness, hop bitterness, and potent syrupy sweetness with hints of spice, citrus and pine. Aftertaste is relatively complex, with the sweetness and hops battling out for strongest flavour. Overall, a very nice and complex ipa - one that shows more grassy and citrus characteristics than most, but still enough hop bitterness for people to appreciate! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Chevy Chase Wine & Spirits in Washington DC on 13-May-2010, sampled two months later at home in Washington on 13-July-2010.

12 ounce bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a clear apple juice color with a thin head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of pale malts and leafy, floral hop notes. Fairly faint. The taste is toasted malts, caramel and bitter, floral hoppy notes. Medium bodied. 5/20/10

Aroma: The nose on this one is citrus fruits (grapefruit/pineapple) and floral notes
Appearance: The pour was a clear orange color with a small head on cask
Flavor: The taste is medium sweet and medium bitter, well balanced
Palate: The body is medium-full and the alcohol seems to be well-hidden
Overall Impression: This was a pretty good IPA. I liked it quite a bit. I'm rather surprised that it is 8%, as the booze were pretty much non-existent. Almost tasted like a hopped up version of a British style IPA, if that makes any sense.
