A few times a year we cut Dan loose to brew whatever he chooses. Always handcrafted, the bottle you hold is brewed for the adventurous soul. This is a very limited edition and we make no promises to ever brew this style again.

A provocative 85 IBUs reverberates cleanly through this Double IPA. True hop saturation from kettle boil to dry hop cellaring dominates this elegant and lustful sensory enchantment. You hold a deceptively seductive Original Gravity of 20.9 degrees Plato, following the always 100% natural bottle fermentation. Luscious English Maris Otter malt is the essential heart of this voluptuous double IPA. Surrender is inevitable so enjoy now.

Sample at Ale Wine & Spirits in Powell on 04/12/2012. This beer pours a hazy golden-orange color with a medium off-white head that evaporates steadily to a film. Patchy lacing on the glass. The nose if fairly malt-forward, probably due to the age of the beer, and has some citrus and malt behind it. Medium-bodied with a piney hops character and notes of lemons and sweet malt. The finish is malty at first and leaves a moderately bitter hops aftertaste. Holds up pretty well all around, and a pretty good IIPA.

12 ounce bottle from the brewery. Brought back to me by my friend Jay at Beer Run. Pours a clear amber color with a large frothy white head. Good head retention and lacing. Big citrus hops in the aroma... very lemon forward. Some faint malty notes. The taste is earthy, peppery and citrus hops. Mostly citrus. Candied citrus reminiscent of Lemonheads candy with no sweetness. Pale malty notes. Well balanced. Nice beer.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear medium golden with two inch head that dissapates fairly quickly. Light carbonation, wonderful grapefruit aroma, and a some laciing. Taste is wonderful grapefruit. This is the best hoppy beer that I have had and the only one that I would seek out.

@dstructos Daks Back I brought from a trade with madvike&hbmason-12oz bottle-pours a white head with trailing lace and yellow color. Aroma is lemon/grapefruit. Taste is lemon/grapefruit/spice hops, secondary light malt/rye.

Purchased at Breeze Thru Liquors in Milwaukee, WI; enjoyed on a Friday night while the ’misses’ is out of town. Appearance is a cloudy bright gold with tiny carbonation bubbles and a frothy white head. Aroma of equal parts pine and citrus, grapefruit, lemon, smells really good. Tastes really good. It tastes like a really hoppy IPA as opposed to a DIPA, an easy drinker for sure. There is a touch of bready malt in the back end, but for the most part this is all hops all the way, and a nice balance to them. Approved!

12 oz bottle courtesy of CaptainCougar, thank you sir! Hazy bright golden color, white head. Aroma of pine and tall grass. Taste is not overly bitter, but smooth and crisp. Does not show its strength. Nice.

Really good experience. Pours a lovely golden yellow with nice, thick, long-lasting head. Floral and hop aromas. Flavor is strongly citrus--grapefruit--with nice, bitter hop residue. Trust the folks at New Glarus to turn out a really fine double IPA.

Bottle. Medium golden syrup colour with a thin head. Aroma is strong citrus with grapefruit and lemon. Flavour is quite sour with a strong hint of grapefruit in the aftertaste. Long very bitter palate. Lively carbonation

Courtesy of HOPSHUNTER. 12oz bottle pours deep clear gold with off white head. The aroma is big and yummy with rich citrus, mango tropical fruit goodness, spicy hops and mild herbal notes. The taste is similar with big citrus and tropical fruit like hop flavor notes rolling into more and more progressively bitter hops. Behind those notes is a thin layer of sugary sweet malts and a sense of floral hops too. Solid IIPA. Loved it.

Bottle at Butters’ Slutfest: A retired beer! Cool, thanks dkachur! Lilly and daffodil nose, intense. Hazy amber, thin head. Flowery and grassy which doesn’t work as well on the palate as it does on the nose. Decent.
