A few times a year we cut Dan loose to brew whatever he chooses. Always handcrafted, the bottle you hold is brewed for the adventurous soul. This is a very limited edition and we make no promises to ever brew this style again.

A provocative 85 IBUs reverberates cleanly through this Double IPA. True hop saturation from kettle boil to dry hop cellaring dominates this elegant and lustful sensory enchantment. You hold a deceptively seductive Original Gravity of 20.9 degrees Plato, following the always 100% natural bottle fermentation. Luscious English Maris Otter malt is the essential heart of this voluptuous double IPA. Surrender is inevitable so enjoy now.

Bottle thanks to a trade! Pours a clear gold with a slight orange hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges slowly and laces slightly. Aroma has a good amount of pine and resin with a bit of an onion note and some underlying sweet grains. Flavor starts with resin and pine and is joined by a pretty strong onion note. Has just a hint of a sweet grain backbone.

Big thanks go out to Ri0 for this bottle!

It pours a 24k gold with a small but steady head of foam and leaves some nice lacing behind.

Big notes of grapefruit and hints of tropical fruit in the smell. Deeper whiffs give me some presence of malt but the smell is definitely hop forward.

The taste is..well...yummy. Most DIPAs I’ve had usually have a good malt presence and this one is no exception. Don’t get me wrong, there’s plenty of hop bitterness here, grapefruit/tropical fruit(more in the taste than the smell) to please most hop heads but I get a goodly amount of sweet malt to not put the brew overly bitter. I get quite a bit of warming from the alcohol but it’s more of a an expected side product than a major player.

Great mouthfeel and pretty darned easy to drink, I like this DIPA muchly. Thanks again, Jared, for a fine drinking experience.

Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy golden with a small frothy off white head leaving spotty lacing along the glass. The aroma is floral hop and wheat grass. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet citrus hop and light bitter finish. Easy to drink hiding alcohol well, a very good IIPA from New Glarus.

Rich clear copper coloured body with a thin, one centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of pure hops, some nice caramelised sugars, grapefruit, resin, pine, curacao and a good dose of malt. Medium to Full-bodied; Deep rich pine and resinous hop notes with a lot of good malt behind and a ton of nice rich honey and maple syrup type sugars rounding out the flavour profile. Aftertaste is complex and robust, showing more hops than anything else (obviously) with a lot of sweetness and a rich, almost vanilla and oak type brandy complexity. Overall, a great Imperial IPA in ever sense of the word and with the small format bottle - a perfect choice, I just wish I could get it regularly! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Ridgeview Liqours in Green Bay, Wisconsin on 29-July-2012 for US$2.99 sampled at home in Washington on 21-October-2012.

Bottle thanks to Ktown67. Pours with a golden hued body with a small white head that leaves good lace. Aromas are hoppy, spicy, peppery, resin, citrus, tropical fruit and grapefruit. Low malt. Flavors are hop forward, tangerine, grapefruit, tropical fruit. Nicely dry, low alcohol notes. Fuller carbonation. Good.
