Bottle, big black pour. I like it better when coffee beers are dark instead of pale colored, its expected. ya know? Yep, smell like coffee after I pop the lid. First taste is big black cold coffee, can't find the beer in here, its just big & black and smelling like coffee. Looks like coffee, smells like coffee tastes like coffee, must be coffee, no? Just asking. Continuing on, there is an indication of carbonation that may be related to coffee. Kaldi is overwhelming in this brew, its Kaldi, over the top and into the Black of night, I guess I'll be up all night after drinking this one sided brew, whew. Yes, think coffee, coffee and coffee. I should have had this when I woke up this morning instead of my normal 8 o'clock brand. There, you have it. Need a cup of cold coffee? Just asking.

Bottle. Pours almost black with a beige head. Heavy coffee, roasted malt. Coffee overpowers underlying beer.

12 oz bottle from Total Wine. Dark brown, tan head, medium body. Strong dry coffee nose and finish, with bitter chocolate and roasted grain taste. Could use a bit more abv, but plenty of coffee flavor for sure.

On tap at Schafly Bottleworks, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma brings out a dry earthy coffee upfront, with toasted malt underneath. Flavour brings out a nice earthy coffee upfront, with a dry toasted malt base. Nice addition of the coffee here - really stands out. Very good.

On tap @ Shortys. This is a deep and dark brown looking one. A small softly lacing beige head on the top. Smells really good, a ton of cold coffee. Freshly roasted coffee, traces of bitter dark chocolate also, but the coffee really dominates here. As does it in the taste. It's actually really well balanced between the coffee bitter and the chocolate sweet. Light oily on the texture and it's just below average on the carbonation. Dark cardboard, mocha and some chocolate in the finish. Nice one.14.06.2015

12 ounce bottle. Translucent black brown color. Moderate rocky tan head. Big coffee and roasted malt nose. Flavor follows the nose. Notes of tobacco and French roast coffee. There is an underlying, earthy oat-like character at play. Rich and flavorful with substantial body and complexity. Very nice indeed.
