12oz bottle from Pick’s Liquors poured into an English Pint. NOTE: It was bottled on 12/02/2010 so it’s been aging for about 6 months. Appears a dark nut brown with minimal head. Smells like fresh roasted coffee and slight hops. Taste is medium bitter. Strong coffee flavor. Unfortunatly, I think my fridge is set a bit too cold. I’m gonna have to let this one warm up a bit and come back to it. Medium bodied with a texture that is thinner than I expected. Overly fizzy carbonation and a average-length bitter finish. Overall, it’s pretty good. True, there are better coffee stouts out there but for 7 bucks a six pack, it’s definitely worth it to give this one a shot. Good thing it’s a winter seasonal because it is way to hot to drink this in the summer.

12 ounce bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a very dark brown color with a medium tan head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of rich bitter coffee notes, nutty notes and a very faintly sweet finish. The taste is rich coffee, chocolate, faint bitter hops. Medium bodied. Smooth, moderate carbonation. Nice beer.

Fresh ground coffee, charred oak, and cream on the nose. Cloudy brown, medium head. Lightly sweet coffee flavor. Needs more body, not very stoutish.

bottle - Pours very dark brown with a one finger, light tan, lingering head. The aroma is of coffee and roast malt as expected. It tastes of coffee and malt with roast bitterness and oatmeal. It’s pretty light for a stout. It’s alright.

Bottle. Brown with a small tan head. Aroma was predominantly coffee. Flavor was coffee, earthy / dirt with a light malt finish. Medium body and a slight carbonated tingle. Just and average drinkable stout, but nothing special.

(Bottle at One Pint Pub, Helsinki, on 2009-07-11) Deep dark brown and almost clear. Medium sized and tan coloured head that disappeared quickly. Coffee with milk and roastedness in aroma. Full bodied and bit dry palate with medium carbonation. Coffee, rostedness, lightly ash, hint of chocolate and bitterness in taste. Roastedness and coffee in aftertaste.
