(On tap @ CBC 2016 Yellow Session, Copenhagen) Pours a lovely dark purple, with a small cap of bubbles like a red wine. Nose is loads and loads of Schaarbeekse cherries, really intense pungent cherry notes, lots of flesh with some pit, sweet and a bit tart, some oaky dryness, bare hint of funk. Flavour is similarly indulgent, rich cherry pie-type flesh notes dominate, moderate sweet and light tart, some cherry pit and almond, light to moderate oak, subtle lactic and barnyard quality, nice balance from 2yr lambic, Really all about those cherries, showcased beautifully. Intense. I loved this. Could smell for days.
