Smooth like a lager. Crisp like an ale. The Cream Ale was one of the first beer styles created in America, and ours has been the style standard since Genesee first brewed it in 1960. Genesee Cream Ale has won numerous awards throughout the years and remains just as smooth and flavorful as it’s always been. It’s a true American original.

On tap at Brinkley’s Manhattan NY on 19 July 2011. Clear gold with very thin film head and no lace. Subtly hoppy aroma, main taste hoppy with cheese and initial savoury note which subsides with subsequent sips. Mildly hoppy in finish with quite a "plain" aftertaste developing. Dry end. Strong carbonation and "evaporating" mouthfeel.

Corny, fizzy, yellow, the flavor of a crappy beer with the smoothness of a crappy beer. Crappy beer.

I picked up a 6 pack of this today on a whim. 16oz cans, six of em for 4.99 now that’s value. I’ve bought 7oz bottles for more than that. Anyhow, this beer is one of the first that my dad shared with me many many years ago, and a few years before I was legal. Pours a bright crystal clear light golden color with a fluffy white head that slowly recedes to a cap. Smells like creamed corn, slightly sweet grainy aroma with a hint of floral hops. Taste is a sweet grainy with hints of apple and maybe some floral hops if I close my eyes and think about it a bit. Watery/creamy mouthfeel, medium to thin body with a medium to high level of carbonation. Certainly nothing earth shattering here, but nothing really offensive either.

Clear pale gold beer. Like a softer lager. Sweet and as the title describes - almost creamy malt. No discernable hop. Drinkable but lacking in many areas!

OMG, is this still around? I used to drink it when I was a freshman in high school Mainly because the drinking age was 19, so a 13 year old like me could get served. And also because I didn’t know any better....

pression @ OTH.

Sampled from a 12 oz can this beer poured a yellow-gold color with a huge foamy yellow-white head that lingered. The aroma was sour, tangy and corny with a touch of citrus and a fairly industrial undertone. The flavor was tangy, corny, sweet and a touch fruity. Medium finish. Bland and inoffensive.

Can. Pours a transparent gold with lots of carbonation and a fairly good sized head. Aromas are a mediocre mix of creamed corn, apple juice and metal with a little bit of a garbage stench. Flavor is OK... mostly apple juice and creamed corn. That said, it doesn’t seem to pick up the metal or landfill much in the flavor. It’s smooth and kind of creamy with a bit of sweetness to it and not much else going on.
