Smooth like a lager. Crisp like an ale. The Cream Ale was one of the first beer styles created in America, and ours has been the style standard since Genesee first brewed it in 1960. Genesee Cream Ale has won numerous awards throughout the years and remains just as smooth and flavorful as it’s always been. It’s a true American original.

Got this one this summer because it was $10 for a 30 pack and I needed a lawnmower beer. Wow, you get what you pay for I guess.

Out of a bottle. Grainy corn and slight spice aroma. Clear light gold with a full white head. Head lingers. Taste is grain and corn. Slight spice and a slightly bitter finish. This was better than expected and not too bad for style.

Big can for super cheap at Albertsons in Vegas. Pours a very light golden colour with a creamy white head and some decent dirty lace. Sweet malt aromas with mild adjuncts. Same for taste. Not really good, but I have had worst. Not much creamy except the head.

It poured a clear straw color with one inch white head that stayed a good half minute. There isn’t much lacing at all, and barely any carbonation was seen rising. The smell was a mixture of corn, wheat, barley and some malts. The taste was sweet balanced between the corn, wheat, barley and malts. The palate was light with a smooth carbonation. Overall, this is good for the style and good for me.

Tap. Pours clear light amber with a medium fizzy white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is malty, caramel. Flavor is about the same, light to medium sweet with a crisp finish. Not so terrible as a beer to wash down buffalo wings.

About time I rated this! At GABF 2012. Pours a clear yellow color with a medium white head. A sweet malty nose with some dirtiness. A basic pale lager flavor with really grainy dirty notes. Smooth though, I could drink a ton. I don’t want to though.

Big ol’ can, in the fridge for 1 year. This is the beer I grew up on, probably the first beer I ever tasted. First time to drink it in years. Rich, fruity aroma, creamy malt and cereals, light grass. Not too bad. Dark gold, towards amber, with a quickly vanishing head. Creamy, malty flavor, honey, light citrus and grass. Decent. Satisfying sweetness, but not too much, light bitterness in the finish. Quite fruity. Better than expected. Better than lagers of the same ilk.

Refrigerated can poured into a shaker. Pours super clear pale golden with small white head that dissapates fairly quickly. Some thin lacing, medium/light body, low carbonation, and super light grain aroma. Taste is light malt and some creamyness. Super cheap and pretty good for the price.

This is a beer your Grand Daddy used to drink! 24 oz. can from Market Basket. Poured into a lager glass. Not much nose at all even when warm. Don’t drink this warm, not a good idea…serve ice cold. Corn and sweet malt flavor. At least it stays with the style. Creamy and smooth texture. You get what you pay for here however, it’s not offensive in anyway.
