Young lambic, Barrel Aged at and by Bokke - whom doesn't produce his own lambics (yet?). Rarely poured, this serves as a base for fruited lambics, and is generally served on events in combination with these fruited lambics, to be able to compare.

Clearly the best of the base lambics. Fruity, bit funky, some nice acidity, plenty of barrel wineyness, and so very smooth. Very refreshing, would love some full bottles of this for the summer.

(Bottle sample @ CBC 2016 Blue Session, Copenhagen) Dark gold pour with a few rapidly dissipating white bubbles. Aroma is pretty balanced for young lambic, citrusy without biting lemony acidity, good old hop character, not heavily funky but a nice soft cheesy note, a fair bit of wood, nice nose that's not too aggressively sour. Palate is very well balanced, not too acidic, grapefruit pith, wood planks/barnboard, dry leaves, soft musty attic funk, dry and mineral in the finish. Medium bodied, a little oily, basically no carbonation. Really nice, the blend makes for an unusually balanced young lambic profile, with a reasonable amount of depth as well. Very drinkable.
