On tap at Mondial de la bière Montréal 2015. A clear, golden beer with a small, off-white head. Banana, some lemon and a minimal touch of phenols, as well as some wheat in the aroma. It’s medium to full-bodied, with a soft carbonation. Banana and lemon, wheat, white sugar and some bitterness in the lightly perfumed flavor. Long banana-dominated finish. Overall, too much banana in this one, else it’s a fine beer. 150611

Draught @ the brewpub. Pours clear golden with airy white head. Clear aroma of malt and fruit, with hoppy and estery notes and floral hints. Sweetish, malty and fruity flavour with notes of flowers and hops. Estery finish with mild acidic notes. Not bad!

Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, orange and yeast. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long yeasty and citrus finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Dégustée en fût sur place sous le nom "Blonde d’Abbaye". De couleur dorée-jaune et claire. Nez de grains de céréales, léger de levures fruitées (agrumes, très faibles notes de bananes) avec des notes de houblon floral et de miel. Moyennement ronde en bouche avec un pétillement moyen-fort ainsi qu’une texture très légèrement crémeuse. Léger goût de levures fruitées (agrumes, légères notes de bananes) et légèrement épicées (notes de coriandre et de poivre) lors de l’entrée en bouche suivi d’un goût de grains de céréales avec un léger goût de pain ainsi que des traces de sucre bonbon et de miel puis une finale l’on retrouve une légère amertume de houblon floral avec des notes herbeuses. Post-goût moyen et un peu sec, légèrement amer de houblon floral avec des notes de levures fruitées (zeste d’agrumes). (été 2006)

On tap at Benelux, pours a cloudy blonde with a medium white head. Aroma is very Belgian-esque, with Belgian yeast, some candied sugar and banana. Flavour is quite dry, with lots of Belgian yeast, a small hint of sweetness and some light apple. Medium carbonation and easy drinking. Solid.

Tap at Churcjkey. Yellow color, small white head, delicate lacing. Aroma of cardboard and summer fruits. Taste is slightly sour, light body, lots of off flavors. Not pleasant.

The batch served at the brewpub on 8/21/08 stated 7% abv - perhaps a slight recipe change? - anyway, this was another great beer from them - hazy golden pour, with a soapy, thick head - lovely aroma of lavender-steeped honey, wildflowers, a bit of spices - the flavor starts honey sweet, but on the whole it is not as sweet as the aroma suggests - a lot of herbal character and subtle peppery spice cut off the sweetness - finishes refreshing, and a bit hoppy and crisp - nice.

Golden ale with a thick creamy white head. Pleasant aroma of perfumey malt, with light orange and fruity esters, and some light fragrant hopsé In mouth, a crisp sweetish malt, crisp german hops, some caramel notes. Reminiscent of fresh De Koninck. On tap, June 17, 2006.
