12 ounce bottle from a Kroger. Pours a clear amber color with a large fizzy white head. Poor head retention. Aroma of caramel malts, stone fruits and floral hops. The taste is earthy hops, caramel malts, stone fruits and a mildly bitter finish. A bit on the thin side. Decent. 200th Wisconsin rating!

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear, very dark amber with about a finger of off-white head. Aroma of caramel and roasted nuts. Taste is light bitter. Light, herbal hops with some caramel, grains and nuts. Light bodied with a somewhat thin texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Overall, pretty good. I could drink this one all day.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours clear copper with a creamy/foamy off-white head. Aroma of mild roast caramel. Med minus body. Flavor is slightly brown ale type roast with a little noble/earthy hop. Quite drinkable, but "light" for my taste.

Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilbur’s Foco. Pours a dark burnt orange appearance with a creamy, tan head. Kind of skunky, dull caramel malty, a touch fruity, grassy aroma. Slightly metallic, dull grassy, herbal, straw, light caramel flavor. Kind of zippy carbonation. Not all that good.

Bottle. Citrus and light caramel malt aroma. Amber with a small off white head. Citrus and malt flavor. Light carbonated body. Was surprisingly nice. I haven’t had many marzens I’d be willing to drink again

6 pack from local Market Basket. Used a lager glass. Nose is toffee and light caramel. Taste is very pedestrian. Taste is sweet and finishes lightly hoppy. Light caramel malt. A touch of graininess. Aftertaste is a bit metallic. Very thin body, damn near watery. But this style is meant to be an easy drinker, which this is. Ok.

From tap at Jacob Wirth. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is light butterish and malty. Mild fruity, vague butterish and toasted malty to caramelish. Bitter and toasted malty finish.

Bottle. Lemon and sour milk aroma. Dark amber color with moderate head. Light citrus and lactic barley malt flavor. Light bitter finish. Pretty good - would drink a liter or two of this.

12 oz bottle given to me by my friends Tim and Meri Pat. Pour is a clear golden copper with a one inch light tan head. Aroma is light grain sweetness, along with some dirty hay. Taste is checmical grain sweetness up front, turing to straw and hay, and finishing with a bit of a metallic element. Palate is light bodied, lower carbonation, cleaner finish than was expected. Not a great example of the style, but drinkable.
